Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, met yesterday in Brussels with the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry. They exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional issues, including current developments around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Syria, Libya, the Middle East Peace Process and the situation in Yemen and more widely in the Red Sea region.

One year after the adoption of the EU-Egypt Partnership Priorities in July 2017, the High Representative and the Foreign Minister took stock of the progress achieved, as well as remaining challenges.
