INTECMED extends its call to promote technology transfer through an incubator programme

The call for INTECMED‘s incubator programme to foster technology transfer across the Mediterranean has been extended.The new deadline for submission of applications is 28 February 2022.

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship programme, with winners receiving free mentoring and business plan development training and guidance.

The project aims to build a local integrated innovation ecosystem to support technology transfer and commercialization of research findings and strengthen ties between research, industry, the private sector, and citizens.

At least 48 innovators, researchers and entrepreneursfrom Egypt, Greece, Spain, and Tunisia will benefit from INTECMED mentorship programmes, which will help them market their research findings, in which the best 12 ideas will compete for Three grants to realize their innovative business ideas: First prize: 30.000 €, Second place: €20.000, and 10.000 € for third place.

The main objective of the EU-funded INTECMED project is to develop an integrated innovation ecosystem at the local level to support technology transfer and commercialization of research results, in order to improve the linkages between the various innovation players, notably the science system and higher education, the government (especially at a local level), the private sector (mainly SMEs), and also the citizens.
