The EU Delegation in Israel issued a statement on Monday 1st February, which marks the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the implementation of TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument).
“Israeli government ministries and other official bodies have increasingly taken advantage of the professional workshops, expert missions and study visits that it offers. In 2015, a total of 21 TAIEX events were held in Israel”.
To give a few examples, “workshops on: waste treatment, requested by the Ministry of Environmental Protection; the fight against drug smuggling and money laundering, requested by the Israel Tax Authority and sustainable urban mobility, requested by the Ministry of Transport”. In 2016, according to the Delegation three TAIX events have already been held in the fields of bicycle use in cities, the establishment of a national qualifications framework and shipping and seamanship”.
