A Roadmap for sustainable consumption and production (SCP) in Israel covering the period 2015-2025 has been developed with the support of the EU-funded project SwitchMed. The roadmap compiles achievable, innovative and high impact projects.

It is divided into three chapters according to their relative Consumption vs. Production emphasis:
  • Sustainable Production oriented initiatives
  • Sustainable Consumption oriented initiatives;
  • Connecting the dots: initiatives that are in between Sustainable Production and Sustainable Consumption
The SwitchMed sustainable consumption and production programme aims to promote a switch of the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption and production patterns and green economy, including low emission development, through demonstration and dissemination of methods that improve resource and energy efficiency. It also seeks to minimise the environmental impacts associated to the life cycle of products and services, and, as opportune, to promote renewable energy.
