The European Union in Jordan visited the Oasis Center in Madaba’s Bani Hamidah implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development UN Women as part of the “Resilience and Empowerment of Vulnerable Women: The Future of Jordan’s Growth and Stability” action with a total budget of 11 million EUR.
The Centre offers holistic support for the empowerment of women and awareness-raising sessions on protection from gender-based violence (GBV) and engaging men and boys from host communities on gender equality and gender roles and have benefited 789 women since its establishment in 2020.
