The EU has expressed its “full solidarity to Jordan and support [to] the considerable efforts made by the country to contribute to the peace in the region and to host the Syrian refugees”, following the attack on the Ruqban district which killed 6 Jordanian soldiers and wounded security forces.

“The EU is confident that the investigation carried out will shed light on the perpetrators of this attack and that justice will be brought”, said a statement issued yesterday, adding “We also trust that Jordan and the international community will keep finding appropriate arrangements for providing humanitarian assistance and protection for those in need and stand ready to support them.”
