Jordan: EU-funded ShamalStart project teams up with Crown Prince Foundation initiative Techworks for quick and creative ways to address COVID crisis

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the EU-funded Luminus ShamalStart project joined forces with Crown Prince Foundation initiative Techworks to support the healthcare system in Jordan by producing open source designs for medical equipment. The partners work hard on prototyping Face Shields for healthcare workers and Emergency ventilators. In early April, the team finished the initial model of the emergency ventilator, which is currently going through a testing phase to verify usability in the medical field. To develop it, the ShamalStart and Crown Prince Foundation Techworks team modified the open source prototype provided by Oxygen Project, using equipment and supplies available at hand in Jordan.
