A dissemination workshop was held by the MED-QUAD team in Al-Rassam Hall – Irbid – Jordan. The participants represented the work teams at Al-Balqa Applied University (MED-QUAD project partner from Jordan) and researchers from other universities in Irbid governorate in the water, heritage, and antiquities sectors.

The MED-QUAD team presented a detailed explanation of the project’s objectives and the outputs it seeks. Finding a dialogue table between researchers in universities, representatives of the water sector, cultural heritage, enterprises, and decision makers in the Irbid governorate set the basis to put forward the problems that the project can contribute to finding solutions which will have a positive impact to the sustainable development of the city.

At the end of the workshop, those interested in the water sector and the cultural heritage sector found the chance to discuss and agree upon a set of common interest issues.

The MED-QUAD project aims to nurture the innovation potential of the regions, by building up a cross- border cooperation scheme of the Quadruple Innovation Helix. The main actors are the universities which will improve their capacity to be and act as “civic universities” in cooperation with the cities to which they belong as “anchor” Institutions together with the socio-economic stakeholders and the citizens.
