In a expertise exchange process, representatives of nine audiovisual broadcasters from the Southern shore of the Mediterranean have pledged to improve women’s representation on the screen and in programs.
They met on January 13-14 in Amman (Jordan) for an evaluation session.
Supported by MedMedia, a EU-funded project, the workshop was organized jointly with the Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM), and is part of a strategy to reinforce gender equality policies in the media, combining consultations, networking activities and peer-to-peer exchanges.
