MEDREG will hold its bi-annual General Assembly meeting on 4 December to adopt a series of reports providing an updated analysis of the Mediterranean Electricity Markets; addressing cross-border interconnection, the impact of the cross-border adjustment mechanism; vulnerable consumers, as well as energy storage and distributed flexibility resources. The members will also discuss Green LNG as a Hub for the Energy Transition and an update of the regulatory outlook, focusing on the evolution of the National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs).
The day before on 3 December, MEDREG will convene EU decision-makers, industry representatives, academics, and energy stakeholders from the region for a workshop to present the progress made in shaping compatible energy regulations in the Mediterranean on one hand, and to further build bridges between the energy industry and the regulators to develop the infrastructure and reinforce the security of supply in the region.
The high-level seminar will also inform about the concrete ways in which MEDREG supports its members to cope with the energy crisis and deliver the energy transition.
