On 10 March 2022, to coincide with international women’s day, the integrated project for the empowerment of women, co-financed by the European Union, was launched at the His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid Centre in Rabat, by OVCI la Nostra Famiglia (an Italian NGO), the associations Casa Lahnina and Badr and numerous public and civil society partners from Morocco and Italy.

This project will help promote women’s emancipation and safeguard the rights of the most vulnerable women in society, in particular disabled girls and their carers.  It will enable the Casa Lahnina and Badr associations to strengthen their best practices and share them with the project’s other civil society partners in the Casablanca-Settat, Oriental, Souss Massa and Tanger Tétouan-Al Hoceima regions.

This will be achieved through training in catering professions aimed at disabled girls and their carers, activities to strengthen civil society and awareness-raising and advocacy initiatives targeting institutions and the general public.
