In the framework of the partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the European Union, Mr. Abdelkader Amara, the minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, presided over the closing ceremony of the institutional twinning contract on “Securing the transport of dangerous goods by road on the basis of the international regulatory framework”.

The event was held via videoconference in the presence of the Spanish ambassador, Ricardo Díez-Hochleitner Rodríguez, and EU Ambassador in Rabat Claudia Wiedey, as well as senior officials of the Moroccan and Spanish administrations.

The project funded by the European Union (1.1 million euros) for a period of 30 months was part of the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthen and accelerate the process of harmonization of its national regulations, in particular that of transport, in line with the “Achieving Advanced Status” program. This framework allowed the Ministry to benefit from technical assistance in the field of road transport and road safety, in the form of technical assistance projects.
