Meeting of the “Nabeul Hub ADAPT”, bringing together the regional partners around the objectives of the Programme for the sustainable and inclusive development of the region.
The hub, which brings together financial institutions and support structures working in the region, proposes a network of support to facilitate access to financing and support services for sponsors of sustainable investment projects in the agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries sectors in Tunisia.
This session provided the opportunity to take stock of progress with the ADAPT Invest support funds, addressing the successes and challenges encountered, and the needs in terms of strengthening of local skills.
A themed workshop was also programmed for early 2025 to take stock of the natural resources and local stakes, with a focus on alternative solutions so as to draw up a sustainable road map for the Nabeul region.
The ADAPT programme (the name is an acronym of the French for ‘Support for Sustainable Development in the Agriculture and Artisanal Fisheries Sector in Tunisia’), is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP). It contributes to the development of Tunisia with an innovative, equitable and environmentally friendly approach combining security, food self-sufficiency and management of natural resources.
