In a global effort to raise awareness on breast cancer, a short film was produced about the August Victoria Hospital’s unit that provides cancer treatment, chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. In the video, Nancy Shahine, a breast cancer survivor patient, is testimoning how she finished her treatment with doctors’ help in Augusta Victoria Hospital.

Augusta Victoria Hospital is one of East Jerusalem hospitals funded by the European Union. The hospital provides specialised treatments for women who are diagnosed with breast cancer in the only integrated and specialised cancer unit in East Jerusalem.

Every October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month helps to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease.
