The College of Europe will be organising the final workshop of the EU-funded project ‘Preparing staff for EU-ENP related jobs’ on 8-9 December at its Bruges campus.

The project, managed by the College of Europe Development Office, aims at enhancing skills and knowledge on European affairs and European neighbourhood policy in the public administrations of ENP partner countries. Through this project, 12 training modules and an Executive Programme were organised, reaching over 400 people. For this, a network of local focal points from all the countries participating in the project was created in order to manage the selection of participants and the implementation of training courses. A website where participants could access the materials of the courses and have updated information on EU-ENP affairs was also developed.

These 14 focal points, from Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Ukraine, will be attending the final workshop to discuss the instruments available during the 2014-2017 period for capacity building actions for ENP public administrations. Additionally, the results of the ENP Review will be analysed and participants will take stock of lessons learnt regarding capacity building and training in EU/ ENP affairs. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
