On Monday 14 March 2016, the European Council adopted a decision amending restrictive measures against members of the Al Qaida organisation and other individuals, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them, including Da’esh, the Council’s news service said in a statement. The decision transposes United Nations Security Council resolution 2253 adopted on 17 December 2015, and in particular the amendments introduced in the sanctions regime.
