As part of the implementation of the Program “Achieving Advanced Status”, a seminar will be held on May 8, 2018 in Rabat in order to launch the twinning support programme to the institutional reinforcement of the sector of energy in Morocco.

The seminar will be presided by Mr. Aziz RABBAH, Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development and Mrs. Claudia WIEDEY, Ambassador of the European Union in Morocco, in the presence of the French Ambassador Jean-François GIRAULT and the Ambassador of Germany, Dr. Götz SCHMIDT-BREMME.

This project is part of the process of regulatory convergence towards the EU acquis in view of reaching the objectives of the national energy strategy, such as security of supply, widespread access to energy, control demand and preservation of the environment.

The European Union has pledged to continue supporting Morocco in the energy field for several years. Several international projects have been launched since 2011.
