The UfM-labelled project “Young Women as Job Creators” was presented as a best regional cooperation practice at the Cairo International Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurs and SMEs Summit, held on 28 April.

Young Women as Job Creators supports women’s entrepreneurship by providing young female university students with the skills and tools they need to set up their own businesses. More than 2,000 women have benefitted from the project in Albania, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan by attending “Women Entrepreneurship Days (WEDs)” seminars organised at local universities. Additionally, 200 women have participated in dedicated training courses on management, marketing and finance offered by the National Businesswomen Associations implementing the project.
