The EU-funded SwitchMed project will be at the European Development Days (EDD 2016) to share the experience and lessons learnt in the southern Mediterranean region with a session titled “Capacity building for green and circular economy business models” to be held on Thursday 16 June 2016.

Halfway through its implementation period, the project will be sharing the experience gained in its activities related to both its projects MED TEST II and the Green Entrepreneurship Programme, discussing the challenges and introducing the successive stages of both initiatives.
The tenth edition of the European Development Days (EDD 2016) will take place in Brussels on 15-16 June 2016 and will focus on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

The SwitchMed sustainable consumption and production programme aims to promote a switch of the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption and production patterns and green economy, including low emission development, through demonstration and dissemination of methods that improve resource and energy efficiency. It also seeks to minimise the environmental impacts associated to the life cycle of products and services, and, as opportune, to promote renewable energy. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
