TAIEX celebrates ten years since the instrument, designed for enlargement countries, was extended to the Neighbourhood on 23 January 2006.

Since then, more than 3,000 assistance operations have been carried out to the benefit of countries in the south- the Mediterranean – and in Eastern Europe. The aim is to help these partner countries to understand and formulate legislation that is harmonised, in order to facilitate exchange with the EU.
