As the European Film Festival marks its 25th anniversary, the tradition of the Lebanese students’ short films competition continues. Twelve short films, presented by twelve Lebanese audio-visual schools, were screened on Sunday 3 February at Metropolis Cinema following which Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation, Julia Koch de-Biolley, awarded the Lebanese Students’ Best Short Film Prize to three short films selected by an international jury.

This year’s winners will have the opportunity to attend an international film festival, including the Oberhausen Film Festival in Germany in partnership with the Goethe-Institut, a festival in France thanks to l’Institut Français du Liban and the International Festival of Independent Cinema Off Camera in Krakow through support by the Embassy of Poland in Lebanon.
