A team from the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) made a visit to Testour (Beja Governorate), one of the two Tunisian regions targeted by InnovAgroWoMed project to meet women working in the agri-food sector in rural areas and to organize a focus group with them.
This visit comes as part of the identification of the training needs and the validation of the training model developed in the framework of the EU-funded InnovAgroWoMed project, and in strong cooperation with the Rural Women Support Office of Beja-Tunisia and the Regional Commissariat for Agricultural Development.
The InnovAgroWoMed project aims at stimulating women’s labour market participation and entrepreneurship, by harnessing the potential of the agri-food sector and showing a significant level of untapped potential for innovation and growth. This three-year project is funded at 87% by the European Union through the ENI CBC Med Program for a global amount of €2,8 million euros.
