Tunisia: New twinning project launched

The institutional support project to the implementation of the strategy for the modernisation of the public service was officially launched on 8 March in Tunis, Tunisia. This three-year Twinning, funded by an EU grant of €1.5 million, will support the Tunisian authorities in implementing the strategy of modernisation of the public service, more particularly in terms of human resources management.

About 70 French and Belgian experts will assist the Tunisian colleagues through training programmes, seminars and workshops.

Twinning is one of the cooperation instruments between Tunisia and the European Union. It is funded via the Support Programme to the Association Agreement and to the Transition (UGP3A). Since 2004, more than 55 institutional twinning programmes have been implemented by the EU member states in Tunisia.
