The European Delegation in Tunisia has announced the start of a two-day seminar – on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 March 2016 – towards “the implementation of public policy assessment mechanisms” in the country. The seminar is being held under the auspices of the EU and organised by the reform monitoring body IGSPP (Instance Générale de Suivi des Programmes Publics). The IGSPP is, in turn, supported by the EU in collaboration with GP3AT (Unité de Gestion du Programme d’Appui à l’Accord d’Association et à la Transition), the programme supporting the implementation of Tunisia’s Association Agreement with the EU. The meeting has been organised under TAIEX, the European Commission’s technical assistance and information exchange instrument.

The aim of this seminar is to “assist the IGSPP in developing a strategy to implement public policy assessment mechanisms and to strengthen the transparency and effectiveness of public initiatives by sharing the European experience in the field”, the Delegation said in a statement.
