The UfM Secretariat and the Managing Authority of the ENI CBC Med Programme signed yesterday a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming at promoting economic and social development and addressing common environmental challenges in the Mediterranean region by strengthening the impact of regional projects and capitalization activities.

“I am glad to formalize today this partnership between the UfM Secretariat and the ENI CBC Med Programme, which will allow us to build upon the existing synergies to foster a more competitive, innovative, inclusive and sustainable region”, said UfM Secretary General Nasser Kamel.

“The Memorandum allows us to start a closer cooperation between our respective institutions, as the common challenges we are addressing in the region, ranging from the empowerment of young people and women to business development and climate change, require joint efforts and better coordination”, added Anna Maria Catte, the Director General of the CBC Med Managing Authority.
