The Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU), Taieb Baccouche, visited for the first time the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona and met with its Secretary General, Nasser Kamel. The objective of this visit was to initiate and shape the future collaboration between the two organizations.
Both parties took the opportunity to present the respective roles of the two organizations and how they can build synergies to benefit the people of the Maghreb region, notably on key areas such as development and migration, transport and higher education.
