100 representatives of civil society, youth organisations and non-state actors from the Euro-Mediterranean will meet to discuss regional challenges during the UfM Regional Dialogue on “Shared views on key issues in the Mediterranean”, which will take place on 22-23 May 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

The Dialogue will aim at contributing to the creation of synergies and complementary actions on the ground. Participants will draft conclusions which will later be presented to both the UfM Country Representatives and the Partner Organizations, in order to enable a potential follow-up and consideration in their discussions and activity programmes.

The regional dialogue’s key themes are: economy and competitiveness; energy; environment and sustainable development; employment and education; women’s and girls’ empowerment (transversal theme).

Participants must be representatives of Civil Society Organisations, youth-led or youth-serving organisations, platforms and networks or non-state actors from one of the 43 UfM member States, working in fields related to the abovementioned themes. The deadline for applications is on 31 March 2019.

This event is organized by the Union for the Mediterranean with the collaboration of the Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) and the United Nations Fund for the population (UNFPA).
