The Delegation of the European Union Delegation to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Cairo, is looking for: An Archivist / Secretary (mail administration) in the Finance & Contracts, Audit Section.

The Delegation offers the post of Archivist / Secretary is in the Delegation’s Finance & Contracts, Audit Section. The team consists of 13 people and there are occasional atypical working hours.
Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation, and on the changes of these needs. The successful candidate will serve under the supervision and responsibility of the Head of Finance & Contracts, Audit Section, providing support, expertise and assistance in accounting.

Following main tasks and duties are currently required:

  • Management of the dead archives of the delegation, and of Finance and Contracts Section in particular;
  • Organization and maintenance of the archives of the delegation according to Commission’s instructions;
  • Registration and distribution of incoming mail and faxes for the Finance and Contracts Section;
  • Assistance in the preparation of letters or reports;
  • Translation of simple documents (English / EC member state languages into Arabic or vice versa);
  • Minutes of meetings;
  • General secretariat duties.

Other tasks that may be envisaged, if needed by the Section and/or the Delegation.
