The Safir program is for you !

Safir is an ambitious project supporting the achievement of the Sustainable development goals (SDGs) and youth social inclusion in 9 countries across Northern Africa and the Middle East. Co-financed by the European union, it aims at creating an environment that fosters youth participation and development of entrepreneurial or media projects with social, cultural or environmental impact.

Programme

• 6 months of incubation (from Mid-September 2021 to Mid-March 2022) for 90 young project leaders
• 6 months of acceleration (from Mid-March to Mid-September 2022) for at least 45 young project leaders, with a grant up to 25 000 euros
• Travel and networking opportunities

The youth program support (incubation & acceleration) will be implemented by Safir’s partner incubator in your country of residence (for more information, click here).

The grant that may be awarded to you, if you are selected by the funding committee to participate in the accelerator program, will be managed, depending on your status, by :

• CFI, if you are a media project leader (student or not)
• The AUF, if you are a student or young graduate project leader with a social, cultural or environmental impact (diploma obtained in 2019, 2020 or 2021)
• The Institut français, if you are a project leader with a social, cultural or environmental impact

If a team is managing the project, only one person will have to be nominated focal point vis à vis the Safir project. This person must participate in all the proposed activities especially regarding the mobility. Project team members will have the possibility to participate in trainings they want during the incubation and acceleration program (not mandatory but strongly encouraged).

Who can apply ?

• You are between 20 and 30 years old;
• And you are from and resident in one of the following 7 countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia;
• And you have initiated/ are about to initiate an entrepreneurial or a media project with a social, cultural or environmental impact.

Be careful, applications that do not meet all above criteria will not be considered.

• Media project leader (student or not)
• Student or young graduate project leader with a social, cultural or environmental impact (diploma obtained in 2019, 2020 or 2021)
• Project leader with a social, cultural or environmental impact
