Digital Innovations for Peace is seeking an experienced Fact-Checking Trainer.

“Digital innovation for peace” is a project aiming to make societies in the MENA region, specifically Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon, more resilient to disinformation and supportive to the promotion of peace in the digital space. 

Objectives:

  1. Equip participants with essential ethical considerations in reporting during the spread of misinformation.
  2. Foster critical thinking and analytical abilities in media professionals.
  3. Enhance participants’ understanding of Fact-checking techniques and tools for journalists.
  4. Strengthen the capacity to counter disinformation and promote accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:  

  1. Designing and delivering a comprehensive 3-day training program online via Zoom.
  2. Developing training materials, including presentations and interactive activities.
  3. Facilitating discussions and practical exercises to reinforce key concepts.
  4. Providing individual and group feedback to participants.
  5. Submitting a detailed training report, including participant assessments and recommendations for future programmes.
  6. Provide a short summery of the training highlights.
