To mark the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Union in Lebanon is launching a photo competition on four human rights themes: freedom of speech, gender equality, refugee rights and fighting against torture.
To take part, simply snap a picture, post it on Instagram and make sure to follow the rules listed below:
The photo competition is open to anyone from the Middle East and North Africa region and based in Lebanon.
Pictures can only be submitted on Instagram. Participants need to ensure their profile is public, tag @EUinLebanon and use either of the following hashtags:
#SNAP4HR1 for freedom of speech
#SNAP4HR2 for gender equality
#SNAP4HR3 for refugee rights
#SNAP4HR4 for fighting against torture
The photographer must be the author of the picture submitted in his/her name.
A picture can only be entered once. Pictures submitted more than once will be removed from the competition.
Each participant can only submit one picture. A participant that submits more than one picture will be disqualified.
Participants cannot submit a picture that has been part of a previous photo competition.
Pictures cannot be manipulated by adding, rearranging, reversing, distorting, removing people and/or objects from within the frame. Minor cropping and colour adjustments are permitted.
