The European Union Delegation to Libya, Tripoli is looking for :

Press and Information Officer (Local Agent Group I) in the Delegation’s Political, Press and Information Section. The team consists of 6 people and there are occasional atypical working hours.

Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation, and on the changes of these needs. The successful candidate will serve under the supervision and responsibility of the Head of Political, Press and Information Section, providing support, expertise and assistance in the field of press and communication activities.

Following main tasks and duties are currently required:

• Monitoring, analysing and reporting on trends and developments in the Libyan media environment and providing recommendations for improving public understanding in Libya of the EU’s values, policies and projects based on fact-based information and proactive communication;
• Establishing and maintaining a network of key media environment and social media experts in Libya, who could support the EU Delegation in its monitoring and awareness raising activities;
• Designing, implementing and coordinating campaigns, local outreach events and communications projects on specific issues and priorities, including with a goal to address information manipulation targeting the EU and its partnership with Libya;
• Closely cooperating with the EEAS Strategic Communications Task Forces at headquarters in Brussels, and the network of relevant colleagues at EU Delegations in the MENA region;
• Performing other tasks as designated by the head of section;
• Replacing other Press and Information team members in their absence.
