The ECHO Syria is seeking to recruit ONE National Staff to be based in Beirut for the following positions: Programme Assistant
The candidate needs to demonstrate the following criteria:
Proof of higher education. University degree from a recognized univ
ersity preferably in International Relations / Political Science / Economics & Development studies is an advantage.
Minimum Five years of relevant experience at national or international level in supporting programme/project operations, preferable including at least two years of experience with an NGO’s, donor or national/international organisation;
Ability to travel on regular project monitoring visits or to respond to an emergency in an unsecure settings, when needed
Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural environment
Proficiency in Arabic and English and ability to communicate and draft reports in both languages;
Good knowledge of any other European languages is an asset
Proficiency in Computer application (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Good knowledge of Programme Cycle Management (PCM) or experience in project management
Ability to work in the field with implementing partners and to communicate with beneficiaries.
Ability to work under pressure, autonomy, initiative, and to setup priorities.
Extensive knowledge and professional experience in Syria is an asset.
Must be a Lebanese national or hold a valid residence/work permit or other proof that he/she is
eligible to live and work in Lebanon
