“Support to the National Council for Human Rights” is a project funded by the European Union in cooperation with National Council for Human Rights in Egypt. If you are looking for an exciting job in the field of human rights, they are recruiting a Programme Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bring exceptional work ethics and coordinative working style to carry out a successful and effective program.
  • Good grasp and oversight of the different projects initiatives in the council as to ensure they benefit one another and meet the goals and objectives of the council.
  • In charge of the management and technical follow up of the EU project, including the monitoring, reporting, organization of NCHR’s meetings with the EU.
  • Assist the council president in coordinating all activities related to the EU project
  • Prepare work programmes, interim reports and reports for the EU Delegation
  • Report on a weekly basis to the President of the National Council of Human Right
  • Regularly report to the EU Delegation
  • Ensure that visibility requirements of the EU are adequately reflected in the implementation of the project activities
  • Organize daily activities based on the goals of the Council and the program action plan
  • Further develop the details of the initiatives that support the goals of the Council
  • Evaluate and assess strengths and weaknesses of the implemented activities in the framework of the EU project
  • Lead the team and experts appointed to the project.
  • Ensure to prepare the technical details of tenders for consultants/companies to be recruitment in the framework of the project.
  • Meet with the EU and other stakeholders to position the Council and discuss goals and status of the program
  • Organize the yearly Steering Committee for the Project
  • Support in drafting new action documents and ensure oversight on complementarity and synergies with other programmes.
