The Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) of the European Commission finances humanitarian actions to help victims of natural disasters and conflicts.
For humanitarian aid, the European Commission works through more than 200 operational partners including UN specialized agencies, the Red Cross / Red Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This assistance is made available to victims in an impartial manner, regardless of race, ethnic group, religion, sex, nationality or political affiliation.
The ECHO antenna in Tunis (under the responsibility of ECHO office for North Africa based in Algiers) is seeking to recruit One Programme Officer under local employment contract of 1 year renewable.
