Under the overall supervision of Director of Dialogue and direct supervision of the Senior Coordinator, the Project Support Officer assists the Project Coordinator in the implementation of EuroMed Rights’ activities and responsibilities as lead applicant of a consortium consisting of three regional civil society networks and organizations in the EU and its South Mediterranean Neighbourhood.

The Project Support Officer will also play an integral role in developing and implementing MAJALAT’s communication strategies, and contributes to the visibility and promotion of project results to various target audiences, including decision-makers, donors, CSOs, the media and the general public.

The Project Support Officer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, contribute to the organisation of activities in the Maghreb region: trainings, workshops, webinars, regional conferences, outreach missions and Steering Committee meetings;
  • Animate one of the Majalat II Thematic Working Groups;
  • Provide practical and logistical support for events, including invitations, travel arrangements, booking of venue, catering booking and interpretation services, etc;
  • Support contracting and payment processes, ensuring follow up, due diligence and the timely delivery of quality results;
  • Assist in monitoring and providing support to the subgrantees, as well as following contracting and payment processes;
  • Contribute to narrative and financial reporting;
  • Contribute to the printing, translation, publication and promotion of materials and reports;
  • Participate in meetings and draft reports;
  • Contribute to plan and implement the project’s communication strategy and awareness-raising campaigns, in accordance with the established objectives and timetable;
  • Feed the project website and digital platforms with relevant information related to the project activities and news related to the region and thematic areas;
  • Ensure the consistency of the visual identity of the project and coordinate the communication work between the different organizations of the consortium;
  • Create media and digital content and promotional materials (visuals, videos, layouts, articles, posts, press releases etc);
  • Cultivate relationships with Southern Neighborhood and EU regional media to ensure good coverage of project activities.
