(a) support the private sector and civil society in delivering business development services to existing and new MSMEs engaged in innovative and creative economic activities, leading to improved economic performance of these MSMEs;
(b) support the strengthening of public private dialogue and dialogue mechanisms on MSME related topics;
(c) support non-governmental stakeholders in developing their analytical capacity on business environment issues, particularly MSME related issue; so that they can better engage in public private dialogue on these matters.
The call aims to solicit projects that will promote the development of MSMEs in innovative ways and contribute to creation of new enterprises, achieving innovation, improving competiveness, productivity, and employment creation, and enhancing internationalisation of the MSME sector in Egypt. Also important is improving linkages of MSMEs to the main stream economy. Particular attention will also go to the extent to which projects take into consideration aspects of inclusiveness; and in particular growth and job creation targeting youth and women.
