In the framework the “Demonstration” component, in each partner country the SwitchMed programme is developing a pilot project for the circular economy in one of the key sector’s of the national economy. The pilot projects contribute to both implementing national policies on Sustainable Consumption and Production and to putting into operation the Regional action plan on sustainable consumption and production in the Mediterranean, adopted at the 19th ordinary meeting of Contracting Parties at the Barcelona Convention for the protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution(Athens, 9 – 12 February 2016).
In Tunisia, the SwitchMed program supports two start-ups in the tourism sector: Dar Zaghouan and Tunisia Ecotourism. It is expected that at the end of the project a national capitalization workshop will be organized (early December 2017). The objective of this workshop is to capitalize on two or three ecotourism and sustainable development experiences and good practices learned from these two pilot projects.
As such, the SCP / RAC Center is recruiting an expert who will be in charge of organizing this capitalization workshop in Tunisia according to the concept note established for this purpose by ensuring the facilitation of the workshops as well as the supply of all the resources necessary for the smooth running of this event.
