The 2017 activity report of the EU, its Member States, and its financial institutions in Tunisia has been published. The report’s 171 pages of rich, detailed and illustrated information show how the relationship between the EU and Tunisia is both strategic in nature and global in scope.

Because our relation is strategic and global, the levers we have at our disposal are not only financial and economic; they are also political and human”, Patrice Bergamini, EU Ambassador to Tunisia, says in the report’s foreword. “Consequently, we have major investments in Tunisian civil society, youth, women, inland regions, young entrepreneurs, education, health, culture, security, justice, research and innovation, etc.”
