A programme of activities dealing with women’s rights is to be held as part of the 3rd annual ‘gender equality month’, the EU Delegation in Algeria said on its website. These activities will take place in Oran, Sidi Bel Abbès, Mostaganem, Tiaret, El Bayadh and Tissemsilt.
The ‘month of equality’ is supported by the European Commission and organised by AFEPEC, a women’s association focusing on personal development and the exercise of citizenship, in collaboration with some twenty other partners. This year’s activities will kick off with a debate with the students of the National Polytechnic School of Oran.
