Algeria : institutional Twinning in the field of water resources comes to an end

The closing conference of the institutional Twinning “Governance and integrated water resources management in Algeria” took place on 5 February. The Twinning was part of the EU-funded Support Programme for the Implementation of the Association Agreement between Algeria and the European Union (P3A).

This two-year Twinning started in February 2017. It involved 24 Belgian experts and 25 Algerian experts working on 72 missions as well as several study visits.

The achievements of this cooperation include among others the development of a communication strategy whose implementation will help promote a better approach in the field of water-saving awareness.

The EU Ambassador to Algeria John O’Rourke stated that thanks to the EU-Algeria cooperation, 30 Twinnings were carried out so far in many different sectors.
