The European Union Delegation in Algeria has announced that a photo exhibition, “Bou Sâada, Different Perspectives”, is being held from 2 to 23 March 2022 at the Mohamed Racim gallery (7, Av. Pasteur, Alger centre).

This exhibition showcases more than 120 photographic works produced as part of the 3rd Residency for Photographers, who met in the town of Bou Saada, from 21 to 28 October last year. Ten photo artists came from eight of the country’s wilayas (Alger, Tizi Ouzou, Tlemcen, Mostaganem, Tiaret, Oran, Jijel and Constantine) and were under the guidance of three professional photographers: Nora Zair, Liasmine Fodil and Mehdi Hachid, as well as the Residency’s artistic director, Reslane Lounici.

“The aim of this initiative is to encourage and stimulate artistic exchange between those who are passionate about art in general and about photography in particular,” declared Thomas Eckert, Chief Ambassador of the European Union’s Delegation in Algeria.

Following the residencies in Alger in 2010 and in Constantine in 2014, this 3rd edition of “Different Perspectives”, initiated by the European Union Delegation, aims at promoting intercultural exchange and encouraging artistic exchange between lovers of visual art.
