The ENI CBC MED 2014-2020 programme, funded by the European Union, will be allocating €84.6 million for the financing of cross-border cooperation projects in the Mediterranean until 2020. It promotes people-to-people cooperation and enhances institutional capacity building.

The general objective of the ENI CBC MED programme is to foster fair, equitable and sustainable economic, social and territorial development, which may advance cross-border integration and valorise the participating countries’ territories and values.

The main issues addressed by this call are the challenges linked to territorial economic growth through the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the driving role of innovation and research, social inclusion and the fight against poverty, and finally the protection of environment and adaptation to climate change.

Project proposals shall be presented by partnerships composed of a minimum of three different eligible countries, including at least one EU Mediterranean Country and one Mediterranean Partner Country.
