Within the framework of the EBSOMED project, ANIMA Investment Network organized on 28 October an online academy for the benefit of business support organizations but open to all entities interested in the topic of how to attract new projects while protecting its economy from predation.

What are the strategies to reassure and motivate former investors? What are the strategies to select new external investors and protect strategic companies for their territory? In an effort to answer these questions, the webinar addressed the role of investment, promotion and facilitation in post-crisis recovery, including supporting healthy business climates and focusing reforms on facilitating investment and promoting digitalization and sustainability.

Speakers examined strategies at work in developing countries, and in OECD countries, and the practical case of the national strategy in Egypt was presented.

Co-financed by the European Commission, EBSOMED is a 4-year project which was officially launched in June 2018 in Tunis. The project aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem and promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation, by enhancing the private sector environment and namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
