Egypt to host the 2nd UfM Ministerial Conference on Environment and Climate Action

Ministers from the 42 Member countries of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) will gather in Cairo at the 2nd UfM Ministerial Conference on Environment and Climate Action.

The Ministerial Conference will be chaired by European Commission, the Ministry of Environment of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of the UfM Secretary General, Nasser Kamel. It will be hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The 2021 UfM Ministerial on Environment and Climate Action side event on “Investing in the green Transition: A Mediterranean Outlook”, will take place on 4 October 2021 at 14h30. This event will look into trends, opportunities and tools to make the green transition in the Mediterranean possible.

The Union for the Mediterranean is an intergovernmental institution bringing together the European Union Member States and 15 countries from the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean to promote dialogue and cooperation.
