EU-funded project helps Palestine fight against marine pollution

On 2-3 September 2018, the ENI SEIS II South team from the European Environment Agency, UN Environment Mediterranean Action Plan and Austrian Environment Agency will meet in Ramallah with officials from Environment Quality Authority (EQA), Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and key stakeholders.  

The meeting aims to kick-off with national stakeholders the activities of the ENI SEIS bilateral agreement aiming at strengthening national capacities and contributing to regional coherence and objectives addressing particular national needs. Bilateral meetings with key stakeholders will follow the kick-off meeting.

ENI SEIS II South Support Mechanism project aims to contribute to the reduction of the marine pollution in the Mediterranean by developing a Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS) supporting the regular production and sharing of quality assessed environmental data, indicators and information.
