The EU-funded Support programme to the media in Tunisia (PAMT), in partnership with the African Centre for the development of Journalists and Communicators (CAPJC), has launched a call for applications to select participants in a training cycle on fact-checking which will be held at the CAPJC headquarters in Tunis on 15-19 January and 29 January-2 February.

The deadline for applications is on 9 January 2018 at noon.

This cycle is part of the PAMT and concerns all the Tunisian media. It will be conducted by a couple of French-speaking and Arabic-speaking trainers. Its main objective is to reinforce the capacities of professional journalists in terms of fact-checking and fight against fake news and other rumours.

The applicants must be journalists with more than three-year experience, and they must speak fluent Arabic or French. They must be available for both sessions.

The accommodation costs and daily living expenses of the applicants who do not reside in Tunis will be covered by the organisers during the whole training period.
