The EU promotes its sanitary and phytosanitary measures among Egyptian exporters and governmental institutions to enhance and facilitate their trade with Europe. In this regard, a workshop was held to raise the Egyptian agricultural community awareness on the requirements for agricultural exports to the EU market and update them with the latest EU legislation and requirements on agricultural imports.
Egypt’s exports to Europe have increased by 20% in the last two years reaching €8bn of which €1bn of agro exports. This workshop will help boost the Egyptian exports of agriculture products toward Europe which will reflect positively on the lives of Egyptians.
