In Libya, EU Jeel Connectors are creating meaningful opportunities for young people to thrive and contribute positively to their communities. Through targeted initiatives, they are empowering youth with essential skills and promoting responsible media use for social development.

Fatima Alzahraa, an EU Jeel Connector from Libya, recently organised a week-long training programme designed to equip young participants with the tools they need to enter the labour market. The event featured hands-on workshops covering various topics, including CV writing, using LinkedIn effectively, photography skills, creating engaging reels, managing social media pages, and acquiring new skills. Throughout the training, participants were introduced to several EU-funded projects, including Super Novae, YES projects from IOM, and Baity Centers, highlighting valuable resources and opportunities.

Meanwhile, Abdulrahman, another EU Jeel Connector from Libya, focused on promoting media as a tool for development. His initiative included an insightful presentation on how media can drive positive social change, followed by discussions on combating misinformation and showcasing content creation techniques aimed at enhancing social cohesion.

These impactful initiatives demonstrate how EU Jeel Connectors in Libya are making a difference by providing knowledge, skills, and platforms for meaningful dialogue.
