Sixteen officials from different units of the Palestinian Ministry of Justice took part in a training on 1 and 2 November designed to strengthen the strategic planning processes in the Ministry. The training was funded by the European Union Police and Rule of Law Mission (EUPOL COPPS).

The training focused on how to set and evaluate strategic objectives, particularly taking into consideration how to create synergies with overall local and international priorities. Attention was focused on how the strategic planning processes within the Ministry of Justice can be coordinated with the strategies set for the wider justice sector.

EUPOL COPPS is the European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support. The aim of the Mission is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law related aspects under Palestinian ownership.
